Well here I am, the Gurm!
Don't bother asking me about the choice of name, it's just another word for German! Also means something else, but it happens to be a nickname of mine some of my mates gave me years ago!
I've lived in the greater Auckland area for most of the nearly 20 years that I spent in the Pacific, but have also spent several years of that time in the Pacific Islands and in Australia, most of the time there in Queensland and the Northern Territory.
I have travelled and worked around and through the centre of Australia by 4X4 Camper for about 10 months in 2001/2 and have also lived and worked in the Cook Islands in the late 1980s. I have visited almost all the polynesian islands and have been travelling there by ship and plane, still a bit of an adventure back in those days!
If any of you wants some advice about these three regions please let me know and I'll see what I can do you for biggrin.gif wink.gif !!! (I know that's not correct, but that's how we say it on occasions here!)
I still speak german, don't worry!

Hi Moa,
just as a matter of interest, when were you in the Cook Islands, where did you stay and what did you do there!?
I mean e.g. which islands did you visit or what's your favourite beach on Rarotonga?
I am trying to do some research about the trends overthere as I have family and friends living on Rarotonga who are involved in the tourism industry.
Thanks and kind Regards from the

Hi Gurm,

I visited Aitutaki 10 years ago, and I loved this place.
I stayed in small places but I can't remember theit names !

2 years ago I stayed for 1 week at the Rarotongan Beach Resort & Spa !
A great place, but very expensive !

Cheers
